Installation Instructions

macOS

Section titled “macOS”
  1. Download: Visit the VerifiedX website and download the DMG file appropriate for your system’s architecture (ARM or Intel).
  2. Open the File: Double-click the downloaded file to open it.
  3. Install the Application: Drag and drop the VerifiedX Switchblade app into your Applications folder.
  4. Open the Application: Open VFXWallet from the Applications folder. The first time, macOS confirms that the app was downloaded from the internet; select “Open”.

The installer is signed and notarized by Apple, so no security settings need to be changed. Installers older than version 8.0.2 were not notarized; if macOS refuses to open one, download the current installer instead.

Windows

Section titled “Windows”
  1. Download: Navigate to the VerifiedX website and download the EXE installer for your system.
  2. Run the Installer:
    • Double-click the EXE file to start the installation.
    • Follow the on-screen setup wizard to complete the installation.
  3. Handle Security Prompts:
    • If prompted by Windows Defender, click “Run Anyway”.
    • Allow the application through your firewall if required.
    • If necessary, right-click the installer and select “Run as Administrator” to ensure all components are installed correctly.
